Wirral Kayak Challenge
16 Jun 2024 | Derby Pool New Brighton
The annual kayak event – now in its 12th year – takes place on Sunday 16 June, with people rowing 14 miles from New Brighton to Thurstaston to raise money for charity.
It starts from Harrison Drive beach at 6am – just after high water, with participants heading over behind Hilbre Island for low tide, and then on to the finish at Dee Sailing Club for around 3pm where there will be entertainment.
Registration nights are being held at The Railway pub in Meols for people wanting to take part in this year’s Wirral Kayak Challenge. These will take place on Thursday evenings from 7.30pm – 9.30pm, starting on 25 April and running until 6 June.
